Be sure to join us for the final School Accountability Committee (SAC) meeting for the 2020-21 school year. We will discuss WWE’s plan for next year including school fees, staffing updates and Covid-based restrictions (as far as we know). The meeting will be virtual. We hope that you can join us!

West Woods' Mission is to

2020/2021 UIP Major Improvement Strategy, Action Steps and Academic Goals

Major Improvement StrategyWest Woods staff will align structures, instructional best practices, and resources with grade level teams and vertical teams in literacy. 

Action Steps:
1. Implement the new Into Reading resource using Bridge to Curriculum as a guide. Begin aligning the Into Reading modules with the Bridge units of study.

2. Implement the use of Proficiency Scales with Bridge to Curriculum to clearly define student expectations in literacy.

3. MTSS: Progress through the Pyramid of Instruction to ensure students' success. Students on READ plans will be progress monitored as the intervention recommends and their goals will be evaluated every 6 weeks using a CDE approved intervention for K-3 and a researched based intervention for 4-5.

2020/2021 Academic Achievement and Growth Targets: 
All students will demonstrate growth in reading including students on a READ plan. Student growth in reading will be measured with the following goals and assessments:

~K-2:increase of students scoring average or above on BOY-EOY DIBELS: 80% or higher

~3rd-5th: increase of students scoring "average high" to "high" on the Spring MAP ELA assessment:
3rd grade: 75% Fall - 78% Spring
4th grade: 75% Fall - 78% Spring
5th grade: 78% Fall - 81% Spring
