At West Woods, we believe children benefit from learning and working with their classmates in a variety of settings. Students identified as gifted and talented grow in their learning by working alongside their classmates and friends in heterogenous groups as well as with like peers in some academic activities. As a GT Cluster school we ensure students are in homeroom classes with like peers for their identified area of strength. We are then able to utilize flexible grouping for all students for differentiation in all academic areas. This allows kids to enjoy their neighborhood friends, learn from all their classmates, and work with like peers in differentiated groups.
