PE Reminders for Students and Parents

  • Wear athletic shoes
  • Dress for the weather, we will be outside as much as possible
  • Please provide a note or Dr. note if your child can not participate
  • Eat healthy and get lots of sleep

Physical Education Year at a Glance

1st and 2nd Grades

  • 1st Trimester Spatial Awareness, Locomotor Movements, Manipulative Skills ( throwing, catching, kicking)
  • 2nd Trimester Manipulative Skills (volleying, striking, dribbling, low organized games) Balance
  • 3rd Trimester Manipulative Skills (striking with short and long handled implements) Skills into games
  • Sportsmanship, Teamwork, Cooperation, Nutrition, Field Day Activities

3rd and 4th Grades

  • 1st Trimester Chasing, Fleeing, Dodging, Manipulative Skills (throwing, catching, kicking) Fitness Testing

Standard Based Grading

4 = exceptional

It means consistently exceeding.

3 = proficient

It means excellent and at grade level.

2 = working toward

It means not consistently showing the learning.

1 = inadequate

It means consistently not meeting grade level.
