Assessments
Dibels & MAZE (Reading) - an assessment of early literacy skills for students in K-3rd grades. Early reading skills assessed are phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, and comprehension.
mClass literacy report from Dibels
MAP (Reading and Math) - an adaptive assessment that provides information for all students regardless if they are currently below, at, or above grade level. MAP is real time data that is aligned to the Colorado Academic Standards. Teachers are looking for performance over time. Scores may decline from one test to the next. One low test score is not cause for immediate concern. 1st grade begins taking the MAP in December/January.
